Arthur ashe

Arthur Ashe, the legendary Wimbledon player was dying of AIDS which he got due to infected blood he received during a heart surgery in 1983.

From world over, he received letters from his fans, one of which conveyed: "Why does GOD have to select you for such a bad disease"?

To this Arthur Ashe replied:

" The world over -- 50 million  children start playing tennis, 5 million learn to play tennis,

500,000 learn professional tennis, 50,000 come to the circuit, 5000 reach the  grand slam,

50 reach Wimbledon, 4 to semi final, 2 to the finals,

when I was holding a cup I never asked GOD 'Why me?'.

And today in pain I should not be asking GOD 'Why me?'  "

Happiness keeps you Sweet,

Trials keep you Strong,

Sorrow keeps you Human,

Failure keeps you humble and Success keeps you glowing, but only Faith & Attitude Keeps you going...

Come Holy Spirit,

Fill my heart with thy Holy Gifts,

Assist me in all the trials of life,

Enlighten me in my ignorance,

Advice me in my doubts,

Strengthen me in my weakness,

Help me in all my needs,

Pour thy light into my heart, my soul, and my mind..

Wild horses

Let's begin the day with a short prayer:

                                                        Lord, walk with me today.

                                                        I have no idea what lies ahead.

                                                        Be my guide and strength in all that I do.

                                                        For your glory, amen.

--- I am not a very religious person but I believe that praying at the start of the day and before we retire helps a lot in setting our goals and mood. A prayer must not be too long or too short, just release it from deep within you. No need to memorize or copy from someone else, you can make your own and see for yourself what it can do for you.--

Alone

dear GOD,

Most of us always desire a perfect situation, a perfect life.

You, you my Lord, do not grant a perfect life.

What you give instead is a perfect heart in the midst of an imperfect life.

Teach me to be cheerful, hopeful....

                        smiling amidst imperfections

And to enjoy your wondrous blessings every moment.
