It had been three long days in front of the computer and my internet connection is still off. I can’t wait no longer for the techs to come around and fix it so I guess I can use sometime for a fishing trip. I need a companion so I am tagging along my nephew who has his day off from school tomorrow. We don’t have a fishing boat but someone is gonna lend, so it is going to be a tremendously thrilling fishing experience after all!
I need this leisure fishing trip because I had been so exhausted for the last few days. I don’t often get a chance to enjoy fishing so I will really make the most out of it tomorrow. I just hope that the weather will also jam with our plan. You see, it’s not good to go fishing when it is rainy. It might still be thrilling, but not as great when you have the sun shining almo0st everywhere. Besides, who want the fishing boat to be wet all over? It might get slimy for all we know if it is raining!
But anyway, the forecast says it’s going to be a bright sun shiny day so let’s look forward to it. For now, I have to take care of everything I need for the fishing trip I have in mind. Fist in the list is the fishing boat. I still have to make sure it is ready for tomorrow, clean and reliable. Also I need some fish baits, which I can get somewhere in the backyard. And of course, our picnic basket. I think I have to grab some things from the supermarket to ensure we won’t lack stocks when we are already out fishing. So what am I still doing here? Till then everyone.. you will hear from me tomorrow evening…ciao!
More than two weeks after what happened in our company, I am still watching or better yet reviewing movies that are more likely cartoons. I like the simplicity and funny start, mid, and ending of these good movies. I especially like those of Walt Disney, but I can watch any. Today, I am going to watch something romantic and passionate—Mulan and Dog of Plunder. These cartoons were among the first movies who made me cry and I feel funny each time I get to remember I cried for Nilo and Patraz in Dog of Plunder and Mulan in the movie of the same title.
Getting emotions from the audience whenever a director wants it even if the movie is cartoons is I think a great success. The fact that cartoons are light and funny work of arts is given, but when you get the people crying for a scene that is really something. And if I can remember it just right, I saw many of us cried for that scene when Patraz died in the cold while Nilo is trying to share his own body warmth to this dog. The scene that made me cry even more is when the musical director played the piece and the camera starts to move from the pair to the lamp post where they were under.
I get to think if we were cartoons and we picture what transpired on June 19, we probably be played over and over again; making producers and directors rich. Our electric cooperative also gets their share because the more we were played, the more consumption and billings are made. And the more people are entertained because people love drama. The more tragic someone’s life becomes the better… that’s the rule in this life… A seriously mad funny world
People living in this age are becoming more addicted to technology breakthroughs, like in the world of medicines and the automotive industry. And I live in this age of ambiguity where every happening is supported by facts. One thing that makes me really wonder is the continuously increasing number of illnesses and diseases sprouting on a human body. Among my thousands of medical questions is the deadly breast cancer that in the old times were not as dangerous as it is now. It is because of the use of different birth control methods and pills among women who already given birth to a baby? Or something that evolves from a simple medical condition like for example a flu that was neglected?
You see in the older days, women are less endangered of breast cancer. Even men were not as worried with prostate cancers or any other conditions. But now, the world is as crowded with medical conditions as pirated pills for birth control or beauty regiments. Aside from the fact that humans have failed to meet and reconcile modernization and the environment, they have also failed to foster awareness in the community regarding the effects and consequences of technology. New generations have forgotten discipline, resulting to pregnancies.
Each baby being born in this world should be given proper care and should be sustained until he/she is already capable to face the world. Awareness of the effects of an action should not be forgotten for their sake in the future. They are not supposed to be unfeeling when it is their time to discover the world. They should understand that in all undertaking, they are to weigh the pros and cons of each decision. Even if it is to do well in our technology but will have a greater negative impact in our society, such thing should be revised. We don’t want more problems in the future, do we?
Unwanted pregnancy, just like high blood cases, is so rampant in the 90s and even these days. It is among what teens are regretful of and parents never want their kids to be involved in. But it is discipline I guess that causes our teens to misbehave. Of course, curiosity is another. That is why it is very important for families to be as close as they can while building trust among each other. Parents should not be so strict in mentoring their kids, but not too loose as well. They are supposed to keep their kids knowledgeable of the facts in this life, especially when it comes to their health, so as to keep them away from these untoward incidents.
Home is the most fundamental institution in the life of new generations. It is important that the parents are emotionally and mentally matured when they start to build a family on their own. Bonding with their kids should be done in quality time. It is a must for parents to understand that as their kids start to age, they have the need of belonging. They will surely explore their bounds and other people. It is then just necessary to have open communication. In that way, even if both are not with each other for period of time, like when at boarding school or the like, there is no need to keep secrets.
As studied, pregnancy on younger kids is almost always when kids are neglected. Usually too they come from families with strict parents. To all the mothers and fathers out there: please always have some good time with your kids, the way you are taking care of your health. Getting pregnant is not actually a disease like the high blood you are getting after all these years, it is the understanding that you need to give to your kids when facing the world each day of their lives.
The bells are ringing for some reasons. It could be that the church is ready for a mass. This usually happens every Sundays, Saturdays, and Wednesdays. It can also be when a wedding is about to start, which usually happens every Saturdays but can also be in an ordinary weekday. Another is if there is a confirmation or baptism. And the saddest part is when there is if the mass is for the dead. That’s creepy! My favorite is wedding masses. They are very solemn and elegant. White, red, or yellow flowers will be everywhere! These are signs of loveliness and preparedness. It seems that everything in it was part of the wedding planning that probably happened month-long.
Wedding preparations are really very important because this divine grace comes only once in a lifetime. Whether you like it or not, enthusiasm in marriage comes only once and never again. Included in the wedding planning are the motif, theme, and costumes of the entire entourage. It is best that these all complements one another because it will make the wedding ceremony nice and easy. Also, make sure that the mobility like where the entourage will ride all the way to the reception is also considered. The reception area is another. And on top of all that, the honeymoon!
Wedding planning will also gain better results if done by professional wedding planners, which are easy to find nowadays. This is very advisable to partners who are both working and has little time for the preparations. Of course they are supposed to give much time for their wedding, but they both also need to earn for the grand event. Besides, they are going to begin another phase in their lives and giving up their jobs will not be part of the options. Weddings should not end the life you love to live but these should be another start and continuation of a fully lived life!
Say, silver for engagement rings? I think I like the idea. I am one of the many that loves the elegance of silver. I even like it more than gold, but if there are diamond rings that is another story. As they say, diamond rings are forever. Gold and silver are also forever but there is nothing much better than the simplicity but expensiveness of diamonds. Why have I been taking of rings in the first place? Well, nothing important, a good friend of mine is looking for an idea for his engagement rings so I said I will go for silver.
I remembered in 2005 when my best friend and I looked for wedding rings in Panganiban, Camarines Norte. We went that far just to find a jeweler that will do our personal design for engagement rings, as well as wedding rings. The end product was just as great and his girlfriend was really stunned. Not only of the ring ideas but of the elegance of silver, she thought it was a diamond. But when she knew that it was not, she was not even dismayed because silvers are also a lifetime gem.
Now, I am again advising my other friend to get silver engagement rings. Not just that it will look like real pieces of gems but these are really good looking elements. I will personally design the engagement rings if he wants me to, but that will be a task better left with professionals. I simply know how to but I am not good at it. He might as well buy ready made engagement rings if there are nice looking pieces in showcases in department stores. Or if he wants it handmade, he can travel to Camarines Norte or find someone that can do the shaping here in the city.
No one can deny the wonders brought about by technology, especially computers that let us connect with the rest of the people around the world. I am personally amazed of its concept so I manage to save enough money to purchase my own from desktop computers available from the cities most known provider of both desktop and laptop computers. I have also acquired an unlimited connection, which gives me fun time when searching or bidding for a freelance job. This, in a way, makes me less worrisome in terms of earning enough for my family’s expenditures. It also serves as my pastime, so I make sure that it is always at its best performing state.
Although I personally favor laptop computers, I purchased from the bunch of desktop computers because I wanted it as a fixture. I still look forward to owning another before I finally roll out my own net shop. It is nothing big, something that will just give me some income while I am still waiting for an applied opportunity. Of course, I still need to upgrade my connection and buy a router and so many more. But for the mean time, I just have to settle for my personal computer and get as much freelance as I can to amass enough money to buy what I need.
Anyway, my desktop computer can still serve its purpose so there is no need to rush. But the time I get enough money from my freelance job, I will really buy the things I need to get moving with my dreamed business. Also, I will need to buy another digital camera for my rush ID business. The old one is still reliable but the new ones are cool, so I think I have the right to enjoy and spend my hard earned money to some things I really wanted to have.
Earning money is one of my hobbies nowadays. Not that I am becoming a devil but that I just need it to support my mommah and the daily needs at home. I have been looking forward to putting up a net café in our place but a family friend already had, so that makes me an underdog because he opened with 15 units and I am just thinking of rolling out two…lol!! So what I actually did was put an advertisement that I am doing encoding, printing, and other computer services. Of course I wouldn’t miss the chance to share some bits of knowledge so I added computer and blogging tutorials. I am also thinking of adding some more like phone cards and if ever, cell phones that are truly hot nowadays! But given the small capital I have, I think I still have to earn most of my planned capital so I wont regret putting it up if the going gets rough though.
I have so many in my mind but there is little I can do for now. I might as just settle for the small business I now have so I won’t risk much of what I earned in my previous job- gee, I still have the creeps whenever I talk about that job! But I don’t worry because time will make me feel better in the times to come. Going back, I am really a little worried about spending so much of the money I took home as separation pay from my company of two years. Although I have used so much for our home improvements, I am afraid to use the little that is left for my business. I don’t have to fret because even with my desktop, I am earning well and decently.
In the future, I still look forward to having as many computer units as I can. But for now, I am for earning and it doesn’t matter whether if it is from cell phones or just phone cards. What matters is the capital I have to shell out. The lesser, the better…
Drug addiction had been a problem in the past, and still is. Many crimes have rooted from this and should really be stopped. That is why the government has continuously rallied about drug rehab efforts, which were even supported by many international institutions. There are also very many drug treatment center and facilities around the country, and even internationally, to combat the increasing numbers of addicts of these drugs. There are ads through televisions, papers, and even posters denouncing the use of these prohibited medicines. In schools, campaigns against these are ongoing but there are still many who continuously use even if they are aware of what is going to happen to them.
What is really the problem then? Is the government lacking or missing something? You bet. I think it needs to look further in what causes these people to use drugs even if it is prohibited by the government. Is it poverty that causes them to do so? Do they get support from their families before, during, and after addiction? Do drug rehab facilities suffice their needs? Is drug treatment center available in the place? Or are ads and awareness campaigns in full swing in the area?
Most people who gets hook in these prohibited medicines are those that are not schooled, and most often belongs to the less fortunate. Given the state of their deprived lifestyle, how do they manage to sustain such things? This is where crimes rooted from. These people are willing to hurt or worst, kill other people for a gram of cocaine or shabu. Isn’t that scary? What I think can solve this problem is for the government to start providing sports facilities and livelihood programs. Through these, everyone in the community will be busy and nobody will be worthless enough in their own thinking.
When you are out in the sun and have nothing to do, you will meet many people that have the same fate as you. Worst are the times when you get to meet your old friends somewhere having fantastic jobs. These are the times when you start to get insecure and worried of the future. But there are also times when you meet some people who leg work, like for instance those that works for insurance companies and those that are working as sales representatives of real properties. Sure these careers are big time, but only when there are big, fresh sales. And I am really thankful that I am in the IT industry, I don’t have to search and find customers under the sun every day or minute.
I am talking out of my experience in sales. I had been into direct selling, which is the most difficult and exhausting kind of selling. You will really need to directly handle customers; and they are not provided, you still have to find these potential people whom you will sell your product. You have to walk the entire village and knock on doors. Then, you will have to demonstrate what benefits there is in your product and prove it. The hardest part is when you are closing a sale. You have to be very sensitive with the buying signal, or you lose the transaction.
This is the very procedure when you are selling insurance to a potential client. It doesn’t matter what type of insurance you are selling: life, pre need, vehicles of different types like van insurance and the likes. Once you start talking, you need to be attentive and listening to the buying signal. Once the customer gives it, like asking if how much is this or will this be ok for blah blah blah, start closing the sale. If you are not careful, you might as well change careers. This is why good looks are not the only requirements for a seller, wit is more important.
