Mommy Bloggers Hit the Road

Summer Road Trip '08

Although we typically post on Team Vox to let you know about things that are going on with Vox (to, uh, state the obvious), once in a while, we like to let you know about other cool things that are happening around the blogosphere. And we think the idea of four hilarious mommy bloggers traveling across the U.S. on their way to the BlogHer '08 conference - all the while blogging and video blogging the journey - is one trip you will not want to miss.

Four adventurous bloggers from the Silicon Valley Moms Group were selected to participate in the Summer Road Trip '08 and blog about their travels, hotel stays, media appearances, time away from their families, and life on the road. Six Apart helped them partner up with General Motors, who provided the blogging mommies with a Chevy Tahoe Hybrid SUV to help make their journey comfy, safe, and a little more green.

In case you're not familiar with them, SV Moms is a group of over 200 bloggers who showcase the ups, downs, outrages, struggles, victories, and everyday humor of motherhood. There are currently nine regional and demographically tailored sites that give mothers from D.C., New Jersey, the Deep South, Rocky Mountains, L.A., and Silicon Valley a powerful voice and sense of camaraderie across the country. Last night, I watched that movie Babel with Brad Pitt. I love that movie. It really made me open my eyes to some of the things that go on in other countries and it made my truly grateful that I live in america and is blessed with the things I have. No other movie have moved me the way this one has. I think you guys should go and check it out. Its a little on the long side,but its really worth it.

Also, I just got finished watching a movie call "The Departed". I know you probably heard of it. Won academy award for best picture. I see why. I love that movie. It actually made it to my list of favorites!

Jordan =)

Lately, My friend Jordan has really been getting on my nerves. He's turning into the type of person i really don't like. The other day we were talking about our senior year and future college friends and he just has this non-chalant attitude about everything. He wants his whole senior year to be about driving and going to parties all day and i was trying to tell him there's more to life than that like your education, and he was basically like fuck that shit. and the only reason he's not going to be driving next year is because his mom wants him to go and get a job first, but he's too lazy to go and do that. So that's really just on him. ANd then the whole thing about college, He really don't know what to do (which i know is ok), but he doesn't know what he wants to do because he's once again to lazy to want to do any of that. He was no vet because thats too long, no architecture cause thats hard too, and basically like jordan, every major is going to have some kind of hardship but yeah, he's wasn't listening. He's said he's not even sure he'll get in LSU (thats where he wants to go, but im like yeah right) because he got a 15 on the ACT math part and he dont want to take it again plus he didn't even take the writing part (out of laziness). Honestly, if he keeps up this habit, i really don't see us being friends in the future because i actually want to go places in life and all he wants to do is party and get this and that pierced and thats really not my scene. He's always talking about how were going to be roommates and in my head i always think, yeah about that. I love Jordan, I truly do, everyday i see us drifting future and future apart.

Do you live in or around Cincinnati, Ohio? If so, you're in luck because Scott and the Queen City Voxers Group have organized a Vox user meetup!

WHEN: This Saturday, July 12th

WHERE: Ault Park Playground. 3600 Observatory Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45208. "We'll look for each other at the playground marked by the red X below. If it's raining, head for the shelter to the north of the [red] X."

Never-ending Life.

Today is gonna be a LONG day. Its 6:00am, and I seem as if I can't go to sleep. You would think when you have an headache you'll go to sleep faster. Not the case here. I was supposed to wake up at 10 to go by one of my best-friends (who was joinging my a while ago in my insomnia) house to go pay dues for student council, but i might as well stay awake. I hate being teased with a little sample of what could have been my ass sleeping in all day.

2009-2013: College Years.

At this point in my life I really don't know what i want to do in my future. Lately I've been doing ALOT of research on college major and as of now I want to major in landscape architecture as oppose to the other 10 things I thought i wanted to do. I know I still have lots of time to figure this out but i feel like I'm being rushed to do so now. I know I want to do something the stimulates my create juices (architecture, engineering, design). As far as of schools Im pretty damn sure I either want to go to Ga Tech or LSU. The only problem I have on that is choosing one. Hopefully I only get accepted to one of them. I'll make my life a whole of hell easier. GA Tech has always been my number 1 choice but I don't want to leave all of my friends and the only problem I have with LSU is that its not Ga Tech. =)

I Need to stop stressing about this. Ill Kill Myself.

I'm Back!!!

I know it's been a while since i've posted anything (3 months to be exact), but thats only because I've been in Rome!. Ok, Maybe I wasn't serious about the Rome thing but I wish I Was Dammit! But No, My Life has been a little confusing and chaotic so I haven't really found the time to post anything online but I have been writing in my journal at home so I might post a few of those thoughts from there to here. But until then, Visit my page more often cause I am official back. Hopefully for good.
